The Punisher Is Looking For Music By Unsigned Artists To Feature In His Film

We're in the age of hero movies and what better way to get your music heard than in a movie that millions of people might flock to see, right? Well, Lionsgate and Clear Channel are looking to give unsigned artists a chance to get their music heard in the next Marvel Comics flick, The Punisher: War Zone.

According to the press release, "One grand prize winner will have their song featured in the movie and included on the soundtrack album. [The] winner will also receive $5,000 and a possible recording contract! A winner will be selected from a panel of judges from Lionsgate and Shaun Morgan from Seether!" [That exclamation point after Seether is their doing, not Exclaim!'s - ed.] Sounds nice, eh? I mean even though they've tried twice already to launch the franchise, starring Dolph Lundgren in 1989 and Thomas Jane in 2004, and failed both times miserably, that doesn't mean the third time with an unknown actor in the lead role won't be a charm, right?
