Sure, they’re young and easily intoxicated, but don’t think you can mess with Pony Up. Weaned on ’80s pop and ’90s alterna-whatever, these amazingly confident little ladies opened and closed the festival, playing an overpriced rag boutique on Thursday evening, as well as the closing party on Sunday night, after which they had to pack up and rush off — it was a school night, after all. But they were fun while they lasted, packing both sets with simple, catchy pop gems, their fusion of guitar, keys and indie princess vocals point to a promising future.
