Perfect Pussy's Meredith Graves Named New MTV News Host

Meredith Graves is already multitasking as the singer of Perfect Pussy, a solo artist and owner of the Honor Press label, but she's crammed even more work into her schedule. It's been announced that she's now signed up as a correspondent for MTV News.

The punk musician revealed the news herself over social media, with an Instagram pic showing off her and her new MTV-branded microphone. Her reason for taking the job, she quipped, was "because my life wasn't strange or wonderful enough apparently."

A press release from MTV likewise confirms the hiring, which comes as part of a larger rebranding. Other additions to the media empire's roster include news and video editor Rachel Zarrell, who had previously steered BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, as well as former Grantland writers Molly Lambert and Alex Pappademas, who will host a new pop culture podcast called North Mollywood.

As for Perfect Pussy, it had been reported at the end of 2015 that the group were working on a new record, though they have yet to formally announce a follow-up to their breakthrough debut, Say Yes to Love. The release had, however, been pegged for a 2016 release through Captured Tracks.
