Next month, David Bazan will dust off his Pedro the Lion moniker to release Phoenix, the band's first album in 15 years. We've already heard the album's "Yellow Bike," and now we get another taste of the release with "Model Homes."
The song is a more pensive, slow-burning track from Pedro, though not in the same way as the band's debut It's Hard to Find a Friend. It still feels familiar, but instead of plodding slowcore, the song builds dynamics from a busy bass line and plenty of noodly guitars.
