Fallout Boy bassist Pete Wentz discovered these four youngins, most likely because they are a near carbon copy of his own band. Pop punk with tinges of electro and (gasp!) ska, Panic! At the Disco deserve emo points for their inventiveness. While vocalist Brendon Urie is unmistakably influenced by his mentor in Fallout Boy, the band are branching out and taking risks where other pop punk counterparts are playing it safe. The records first single, "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage pretty much sums up the whole album; stylish production, danceable beats, and catchy choruses. While the vocal theatrics and questionably complex lyrics are somewhat distracting, Panic! At The Disco no doubt have a crowd pleaser on their hands.
