Just as he's about to release his new album Patient Number 9 — arriving September 9 — Ozzy Osbourne has announced his decision to move back home to England, sharing that he really doesn't want to die on American soil.
In an interview alongside his wife Sharon with The Observer, Osbourne made it known that his feelings for the United States have soured.
"Everything's fucking ridiculous there. I'm fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert … It's fucking crazy," he said.
He continued: "And I don't want to die in America. I don't want to be buried in fucking Forest Lawn. I'm English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we've got to go and live in Timbuktu, I'll go. But, no, it's just time for me to come home."
Sharon also piped in on the move, saying she thought the public would worry Ozzy was going home for health reasons, as he suffers from Parkinson's. "I knew people would think that," she said. "It's not. It's just time. America has changed so drastically. It isn't the United States of America at all. Nothing's united about it. It's a very weird place to live right now."
Despite moving back home to the UK, both Ozzy and Sharon are convinced that there's more touring left for him to do.
