Opening Thursday evening's bill, Montreal-based duo Organ Mood treated the crowd to a performance that was a feast for the senses, playing with light, sound, and even incorporating elements of audience participation. Barely illuminated by the faint glow of his laptop, trigger pads and synthesizer, Christophe Lamarche primarily controlled the musical portion of the spectacle while Mathieu Jacques handled the group's visuals. Working with four overhead projectors, Jacques displayed a variety of patterns from acetates in sync with Lamarche's droning electronics, even etching his own on the screen in real time.

The duo called upon the audience three times for help with their compositions, twice using unique homemade instruments. For a track titled "Flux," Jacques placed an instrument up to the heart of an audience member while Lamarche appeared to control the pitch of the person's heartbeat. In a second instance, Lamarche instructed an audience member to play a cello-like instrument however they liked while he controlled the notes played from behind his spread of technology. For a final dance-oriented number, Jacques passed maracas around the room for the audience to shake in time with the beat.
