Oneida

Steel Rod EP

BY Mike BurrowsPublished Oct 1, 2000

These guys are churning out some wicked wreck'n'roll, caught between Jon Spencer (sans posturing) and the Cows. Demented blues raunch that'll freak the weak and impress the impressionable. The Steel Rod EP comes after the debut, Enemy Hogs, and precedes the Come On Everybody Let's Rock full-length. Song titles don't convolute the issue, "Helltrain" is the mode and "Sinister Purpose" is the motivation. Papa Crazy sings and his sidekicks, Kid Millions, Fat Bobby and Baby Jane, strangle a serious avant this and post that, won't stop 'till someone drops thing. Guaranteed to satisfy.
