Long-running art rock outfit Oneida wrapped up a self-contained trilogy of records last year with Absolute II, but the group are moving past that project with their next release, the epically titled A List of the Burning Mountains.
The album will drop digitally and on vinyl November 13 via Jagjaguwar. A tracklisting has yet to be presented, but a press release explains that the set was laid down at the unit's Brooklyn-based Ocropolis studio.
Described as "brutal and gorgeous, churning and soothing," A List of the Burning Mountains is said to reflect the band's improvisational tendencies and features "drunken-master drumming, howling guitar and scouring drones."
You can get a little taste of what's to come via the album sampler below, which offers some atmospheric minimalist arrangements, shards of white noise, and hypnotic and elliptical Krautrock jam sessions.
