Ever since Sleep reunited in 2009, Chris Hakius and Al Cisneros has dedicated less time to his solemn doom project Om. That will change this summer, however, as the group have announced plans for a new LP.
The release is called Advaitic Songs and follows up 2009's God Is Good. A press release explains that "Advaitic Songs maintains the singularity of purpose that informs the core sound of OM, yet every element reaches further than before... For a band that has continually followed its own course, and stood alone in its sound and approach, Advaitic Songs for certain, is the band's most focused, progressive document."
Advaitic Songs will be available on July 24 via Drag City. The tracklisting is available below, along with a video trailer for the album.
Om also have a large batch of European tour dates prepared, and you can find them here.
