Despite a massive revamp, Toronto's long-running North by Northeast will soon return. Set to run from June 13 to 19 via a series of club shows and a big bash at the Port Lands, we've already received a few lineup announcements, and today we've just got another.
Adding to the NXNE Port Lands festivities on June 17 will be ScHoolboy Q, Tasha the Amazon and Tiken Jah Fakoly. These artists join a bill that already includes Ghostface Killah, Shamir, Daniel Caesar and Mick Jenkins.
Then on June 18, Land of Talk, Born Ruffians and HIGHS will join previously announced artists such as Father John Misty, Mother Mother, Dan Mangan, the Zolas and the Devin Cuddy Band.
As for NXNE Club Land, there have also been a few additions, such as a Halifax Pop Explosion showcase featuring Vogue Dots, Walrus, Mardeen, Partner, and Glory Glory. Also, M for Montreal will hold a showcase that includes Kandle & The Krooks, Michael Rault, Alex Calder, and Homeshake. A few more artists who have been added to the club series are Kiki Rowe, Towers, Billy Moon, the OBGM's and Jon Bryant.
These all join previously announced club acts (in alphabetical order) Adam Baldwin, A-WA, Bad Sports, the Beatdown, Bertrand Belin, Big Eyes, Big Ups, Bionic, Birds of Bellwoods, Brains, Bry Webb & Providers, Cold Specks, DIANA, Danny Rebel & the KGB, Dig It Up!, DJ Shub, Duotang, Eagulls, Escondido, Eternal Sleep, Full of Hell, God's Hate, the Hunna, the IMF's, Jesse Mac Cormack, the Joy Formidable, Kamasi Washington, Kevin Morby, King Khan and The Shrines, K-Man & the 45s, Mariam, Mikey Erg, the Motorleague, Moving Units, MSTRKRFT, Nails, NQ Arbuckle, Pere Ubu, Prozzak, Radioactivity, SATE, Screaming Females, Shawnee, Shred Kelly, the So So Glos, Stonefield, Sun K, USA Out of Vietnam, the Worriers, and the Yardlets.
