Northern Lights Festival Boréal's 50th Anniversary Edition to Feature the Weather Station, New Pornographers, Judy Collins, Begonia and More

Sudbury's Northern Lights Festival Boréal is finally returning this year for its 50th anniversary edition, and it's recently announced its full line-up — the New Pornographers, the Weather Station, Judy Collins, Begonia, St. Paul & the Broken Bones and many more will be taking the stage from July 7 to 10. The festival — which has been running since 1972 — features about 45 acts and 100 performances this year, including appearances from Bombino, Casper Skulls, Wax Mannequin, Bad Actors and a l l i e. Artists will also be coming together to participate in themed workshops, including a special "50th" workshop featuring songs tied to the festival's history, plus Celebrating our Heroes Departed, Global Percussion, Festival Tales, The Cypher: Freestyle Session and Trad Tunes.
Northern Lights Festival Boreal's 2019 edition featured performances from Basia Bulat, Haviah Mighty, Bedouin Soundclash, Sam Roberts Band and a whole lot more. The festival, like so many, was put on hold for the 2020 and 2021 festival seasons.
