Fox News took a shot at mocking Chad and the boys on a recent broadcast, with a pundit describing them as "emo-pop ballad '90s rock" (?) and likening their music to socialism (??). The clip was shared by Parker Molloy:

Love 'em or hate 'em, of course, there would be no Nickelback without Nirvana's marriage of grunge aesthetics and catchy pop songwriting. It just so turns out that Nirvana bassist Novoselic absolutely loves the 'back. He pointed out that they're actually a "power pop rock band," adding, "I love them!!!!" He also took the opportunity to advocate for a kind of centrist political outlook.
Read his Nickelback endorsement below. Here's hoping this means we get the Nirvana/Nickelback crossover we've always dreamed of.
Who is this jerk? Nickelback is a is power pop rock band & I love them!!!! They are Canadian BTW. The USA can work well because of the uneasy marriage between socialism and capitalism here. There is push and pull—so be weary of those on the fringe advocating one way or another. https://t.co/lG1WAMiFyW— Krist Novoselić (@KristNovoselic) October 3, 2019
