Nigel Ayers / Randy Greif / Robin Storey

This triple disc box set contains a industrial-ambient round-robin amongst three of the best in the genre. Former Zoviet France producer/cover designer Robin Storey provides paintings for the box and the three discs (which are also sold separately), as well as collaborating through the mail with Nocturnal Emission's Nigel Ayers and Static Effect's Randy Greif (who did the five CD series retelling Alice In Wonderland a few years ago that is to be reissued in August). For the Nails Of Pious Bride disc Greif sent Storey his material to be transformed into the five pieces of excellent deep ambience Robin's releases as Rapoon are known for. Greif in turn worked on material from Nigel Ayers for the Build a Poison Fire disc, which is done very much in Randy's style of processing contrasting mechanical and ethereal textures. And Perfidious Albion, the collaboration between Storey and Ayers, is a dream meeting of these two contemporaries and regional neighbours, whose advancement over the prog electronics of the ‘70s has created a whole new level from shamanic rhythms and dream time environments.
