They'll be shooting the visuals for their forthcoming new single in Burnaby on August 30

Mystery shrouds Nickelback's anticipated new single — we don't even know what it's called yet — but the band are clearly gearing up to blow the lid off the secret soon, as they've just put out a call for fans to appear in their next music video.

Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger and Daniel Adair are asking friends and fans to meet them for the shoot in Burnaby, BC, outside Simon Fraser University's Convocation Mall on August 30 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. PT.

Further details about the song are being kept quiet, except for the snippet of audio — which sounds heavy as hell — that we got via social media this week. It may or may not be arriving on September 7, based on the band's recent online activity.

It should go without saying, but as a press release points out, those in attendance at the shoot "will be filmed and may be photographed, your likeness may appear in footage and photos shared by digital platforms, media and on artist media channels, etc." So make sure you wear your best leather wrist cuffs.

Nickelback's most recent album remains 2017's Feed the Machine. In September, Kroeger and Peake will perform at the 2022 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala.
