New Bat For Lashes Album Scheduled For April

New Bat For Lashes Album Scheduled For April
British songstress Natasha Khan has dropped word that her Bat for Lashes are all set to deliver album number two. On April 6, the band's Two Suns has been scheduled for release in the UK courtesy of Parlophone, and apparently finds Khan "envisioning herself as two separate yet ultimately attached beings."

According to the press release, the follow-up to 2007's Fur & Gold is a concept album based around "the "philosophy of the self and duality" and allowed Khan to explore her inner-character, Pearl, a "destructive blonde femme fatale that represents one extreme of her personality." The two album characters, Khan and Pearl, then take us on a journey, apparently "as they intertwine and overflow into each other's realms, struggling to reconcile with each other, love and the forces of the outside world."

Yeah, a bit heavy on the metaphysical front, but helping out on the album in the real world is Brooklyn's Yeasayer, who do some programming on the album, and the downright legendary Scott Walker. Somehow Walker was coaxed out of hiding to duet with Khan on the album closer, "The Big Sleep," which is described as a "darkly camp and theatrical performance."

There's no word yet on when Two Suns could be released in North America, nor is their a confirmed tracklisting yet. However, Bat for Lashes does have some UK dates lined up. Here they are:
