Neuraxis

Yet another stunning technical death/grind release from Quebec. Neuraxis has been around a while yet remain fairly elusive, but hopefully the far-above average material on Truth Beyond... will put them in the spotlight. Blistering, speedy and mathematical, these 12 songs will do serious damage to even the most jaded of death metal listeners. Neuraxis cram every second of music with bucket loads of riffs, change-ups and squeals, almost, but not quite, becoming too much to take in. Of note is the astounding, head-shaking, mind-fucking drumming of new grind lord Alexandre Erian, which is simply amazing. Fans of Cryptopsy will be going berserk over this, and rightfully so, as Neuraxis have proven themselves just as competent as Cryptopsy and are far above what even the best from Quebec are currently up to. The clear production lets all the instruments shine and the vocals have enough variety to keep that Cannibal Cookie cross-eyed glare from appearing on the listener's face. Truth Beyond... is tech/death perfection that will keep all heads banging for many months.
