Nate Husser and Mick Jenkins Sauce It Up on New Song "Teriyaki"

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Apr 21, 2021

Nate Husser has enlisted Mick Jenkins for his first release of 2021. You can hear the two trade verses on new single "Teriyaki" below.

Floating atop producer Dominique Sanders' flute loop, Husser leads off with a nimble verse about his grind from Montreal to the world, "Livin' free, dyin' hard / Make it look easy while trying hard."

Jenkins — whose love of Montreal flavour has been long documented — then jets in from Chicago with his own cool, confident bursts of verse. Below, you can see the two take flight in the accompanying lyric video from $alvador Dalil.

Last year, Husser shared EP I Been Doing Great, along with a string of singles including "I Just Bought Another Neck." He also appeared on Junia-T's Polaris Music Prize-nominated album Studio Monk.

The Montrealer's EP Adult Supervision is due out this year via +1 Records/EMPIRE.

Jenkins recently shared "Designer Frames" with Kaytranada, and landed a feature spot on LOONY's recent single "Royal Flush."
