Vancouver duo MYTHS are set to release their self-titled debut album, a collection of dark, brooding synth pop that's a far cry from band member Lief Hall's former stint fronting noise punk maniacs Mutators. To show you what we mean, Exclaim! has arranged a stream of the entire full-length.
Speaking of the album, the band's Quinne Rodgers tells Exclaim!, "It is dark, but it's kind of empowering at the same time. It deals with darker themes and we definitely have dark inspirations, but the idea is kind of to look at them and try to figure out how you can overcome those things and be empowered... I think sometimes to sort of be in a really empowered, positive space you need to be able to deal with the darkness that exists."
Check out MYTHS in its entirety below. The album's official release date is August 6, but you can pick it up now at the band's upcoming live shows. To see MYTHS' schedule and to learn more about the record, read our recent interview with the duo here.
UPDATE: You can now buy the record here on iTunes.
