Though Warp Records is best known for their genre-pushing electronic music, the label isn't doing too bad with the rock stuff, either. Aside from bands like Battles, Grizzly Bear and formerly Maximo Park, the label can now add rock-oriented Brooklynites My Best Fiend to its roster.
The group have signed with the label, with plans to release the song "Higher Palms" as a seven-inch single on January 24.
The track, full of haunting keys, classical instrumentation and lush harmonies, can be streamed below. While My Best Fiend have yet to make an official announcement, their full-length will likely be out in 2012 as well.
