Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire's Lost in Translation mixtape was one of Exclaim!'s favourite independent hip-hop releases of 2011, but the Brooklyn rapper will enter the big leagues for his next effort, as he's just signed with Universal Republic.
As Billboard reports, news of the inking came yesterday (March 14) at a SXSW panel the spitter spoke at called "The Importance of Online Video & Social Media." His participation was notable, as his "Huzzah" video, made last year on a budget of $400, went viral, landing praise from Danny Brown and Das Racist, among others.
Despite finding out that Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire has a new label, there's no word on when he'll deliver his debut full-length for his new label home.
