For Spencer Krug's Pop performance, the man of many projects performed as Moonface at Breakglass Studios, where he has recorded albums with both Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown. Though he started about 45 minutes off-schedule, the audience packed into the considerably small room didn't seem to mind. Krug kicked off the solo set with a well-received synth rendition of "All Fires" from Swan Lake's Beast Moans (2006), then proceeded to perform entrancing songs from his latest release, this year's Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I'd Hoped, accompanied by a man wailing on a xylophone and what may have been electric drums while Spencer focused on his keyboard and his ever-ardent crooning.
