Red Bull Music Festival is set to come to Canada for the first time this year, and organizers behind the event's Montreal edition have lifted the curtain on the inaugural lineup.
Highlights include the Canadian premiere of Oneohtrix Point Never's MYRIAD live project (September 26), a release show for Ryan Hemsworth's forthcoming Elsewhere LP stacked with surprise guests and visuals (September 22), and a forward-thinking showcase of pop, hip-hop, R&B and electronic acts headlined by SOPHIE (September 27).
Elsewhere, experimental Canadian artists Kara-Lis Coverdale, Sarah Davachi and Alex Zhang Huntai (f.k.a. Dirty Beaches) will perform inside the city's 153-year-old Église Du Gesù for "Triptyque" on September 19.
The fest will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of Arbutus Records on September 20, with a multi-room birthday party featuring Blue Hawaii, Marie Davidson, She-Devils, Gene Tellem, Project Pablo, Cadence Weapon, Graham Van Pelt, Sean Nicholas Savage, TOPS, Moon King and Sorry Girls.
Montreal's Red Bull Music Festival will run from September 19 to 27. Further festival lineup and ticketing details can be found through the event's official website.
