Having announced in December that their 2021 edition would take place virtually, organizers behind Montreal's annual winter electronic event Igloofest have detailed their programming.

As the "coldest festival on Earth" cannot bring people to the Vieux-Port de Montreal this year, Igloofest will showcase some of Montreal's finest performing livestreamed sets at iconic locations across the city over five evenings.

On February 13, CRi will kick things off alongside collaborators Jesse Mac Cormack and Sophia Bel at La Ronde, while the following week will see Jacques Greene go live from the Vieux-Port de Montréal on February 20.

February 27 will see Lou Phelps spit live from the Stewart Museum, while Misstress Barbara will spin a set from the roof of Vidéotron headquarters on March 6.

Organizers note that a March 13 stream from Société des Arts Technologiques will feature a dozen artists taking turns on the turntables for "a musical marathon from noon to midnight," with full programming details to come.

You can watch an after movie from Igloofest's 2020 edition below, and reminisce of a time we could attend concerts.

Last year's fest featured the BlazeZeds DeadRüfüs Du Sol, Anna, Charlotte De Witte, Rezz, Lauer, Silktits, Kizi Garden Crew, Anjunabeats, Videogirl, Kora, Gab Rhome, Wuachuma, Reinier Zonneveld, Alez Pycke, Honey Soundsystem, Phran, Regular Fantasy, Vladimir Cauchemar, Nina Kraviz, Jeremy Olander, Hicky & Kalo, Bellaire and more.
