Exclaim! New Faves alum, Montreal-based singer-songwriter Edwin Raphael, has announced his forthcoming new album and shared latest single "Under Weather" featuring West London's Eleni Drake.

Warm Terracotta is due February 17 via Dine Alone — Raphael's first for the label. It follows his 2019 album, Will You Think of Me Later?

In his own words, Raphael describes the album is an antidote: "one that swallows you into forgetting your present troubles, while also painting a world you can escape into — and keep coming back to," the musician shared in a press release. Inspired in equal measure by Indian classical musical, '80s pop and psychedelic folk, Warm Terracotta is the singer-songwriter at his most ambitious and intimate, rooted in the ancestral topsoil of identity and the concept of home.

"Under Weather," the latest preview of the record, "represents the relationship one has with time, the constant balancing as a slow dance that one tries to weave," according to Raphael. "Becoming a pathetic fallacy, time becomes a force of nature that pushes us to engrave our memories, picking specific moments as we adapt and evolve. To push beyond an inner monologue that's constantly in battle and to prioritize the smaller things."
