Molotov Solution

The Harbinger

Molotov Solution are one of the most hardcore-sounding bands Metal Blade has to offer; maybe it's because they carry the ambiguous title of deathcore but their sound isn't so much metal as metal-ish. Considering that, they're not a typical hardcore band doing what's been beaten to death by spin kicks. "Warlords" initially sounds like traditional hardcore, both lyrically and in tempo, but a bout of machinegun drumming and some demonic ambience abruptly alter what's been put forth. The Harbinger is very hardcore in certain ways but it's accompanied by elements of merciless metal and growling, guttural vocals that help it stand out from many other bands releasing ten-track two-step albums. "Corpus Imperium," "The Harbinger" and "Only The Dead" are juggernaut tracks that shred with chunky, muted riffs, breakdowns and plenty of metal influence. The Harbinger's ability to cement itself in your memory is voided by its lack of creativity and individuality; it's almost as exciting as getting socks for Christmas, except socks come in handy.
