Mitski has announced the follow-up to 2022's Laurel Hell. Her new album is titled The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, and a single will arrive this week.
The songwriter announced the album in a newsletter sent to fans. It includes a voice memo in which she said, "Hi, this is Mitski, and I'm at Bomb Shelter Studios in Nashville, where we recorded my new album that's coming out. It's called The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, and its first single is coming out on Wednesday [July 26]."
