Fresh off releasing his debut album TAVIE, Mister Nobu — a.k.a. Choir! Choir! Choir! co-founder and director Nobu Adilman — has released a new video for one of the album's singles, "Best of Me."
"For five days this past December, I found myself on Pamalican Island, south of Manila, a paradise that features the most stunning beach and sky I've ever experienced," said Adilman in a statement. "Jet-lagged and armed with only a phone, my director pal Romeo Candido and i walked the beach for a couple early mornings and made my first video for the album."
While the stunning, oceanic beauty and vast beaches of the Philippines may seem like relics of a time before physical distancing, Adilman acknowledges the way the footage compares to today's COVID-19-occupied climate.
"Watching it now," says Adilman of the video, "opposed to most films and TV shows that feature people interacting pre-coronavirus, it feels like it was made for a time of physical distancing."
