Miley Cyrus

"Lighter" (video) (dir. Wayne Coyne)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 21, 2015

Further promoting her new album and ongoing tour with her Dead Petz, Miley Cyrus has unveiled a wildly illuminating music video behind the record's soft-focus synth ballad, "Lighter." You can catch the glowing, psychedelic visuals online now.

The track itself is a slow jam full of '80s keyboards, Mike WiLL Made-It production tags, and Cyrus' familiar calls. The video was directed by longtime collaborator, current backup band member, and Flaming Lips leader Wayne Coyne, who slathers Cyrus and a body-movin' neon druid in all sorts of splotchy, acid-dipped projections. These kaleidoscopic animations, meanwhile, were supplied by Jen Stark.

You wanna get higher with Cyrus? Then you can catch the video down below.

Cyrus' tour with her Dead Petz is ongoing, and hits Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on December 14. You'll find the rest of the tour info here. According to a post from Cyrus, which contained the "Lighter" video, the opening show in Chicago last Thursday (November 19) was "totally turnt."
