While the last few days have seen both Frank Ocean and Azealia Banks scrubbed off the schedule of this weekend's Osheaga festival in Montreal, a silver lining has appeared in the form of a few last-minute additions, most notably R&B crooner Miguel.
After organizers reported earlier this week that they were "working extremely hard to find a replacement" for Frank Ocean, they posted that "Adorn" singer Miguel will make his way to the Molson Canadian Scène de la Montagne stage at Parc Jean-Drapeau for an early evening set on Saturday (Aug 3). This is the first time the artist will have brought his Kaleidoscope Dream song cycle to the city since his opening spot on Alicia Keys "Set the World on Fire" tour this past spring.
With Kendrick Lamar set to play the fest the next day, we're left wondering if either artist's set will feature an onstage team-up of Miguel's Kendrick-assisted "How Many Drinks?" remix.
Also, L.A. rock duo Deap Vally were added to Saturday's festivities after Danish electro-soul duo Quadron had to drop out over a scheduling conflict. Deap Vally will support their recently released debut LP Sistrionix with a 3:15 p.m. EDT set at the Galaxie Tree Stage.
