Takeoff is being sued by woman who is claiming she was raped by the Migos rapper.
The alleged incident took place in June at a part in Los Angeles, TMZ reports. According to legal documents obtained by the publication, the woman is only being named as Jane Doe, with her lawsuit outlined the alleged rape in detail.
After getting over the initial shock of the incident, the woman claims in her lawsuit that she went to a nearby hospital, where staff found physical evidence of rape. The woman claims hospital staff then notified police.
Based on the report by TMZ, however, it does not appear Takeoff is facing official criminal charges by the LAPD.
The woman is now suing Takeoff for sexual battery, assault and emotional distress, among other charges. She is also reportedly seeking damages.
As of press time, Takeoff has not publicly commented on the charges.
UPDATE (8/6, 11:45 ET): Via his lawyers, Takeoff has denied all the allegations against him. Speaking to TMZ, the rapper's lawyer stated, "We have reviewed the allegations and have similarly done our own due diligence. What has become abundantly clear is that the allegations made against Takeoff are patently and provably false. The claims and statements made regarding this lawsuit indicate that the plaintiffs' representatives have not spoken with relevant witnesses or reviewed available evidence."
The lawyer went on to accuse the woman of trying to extort the Migos member. "Takeoff is renowned for his artistic talent as well as his quiet, reserved and peaceful personality. In this instance, those known personality traits have made him a target of an obvious exploitative money grab. As his counsel, we are well aware and well versed on the importance of civil and criminal prosecution of true sexual assaults. This is not one of those situations."
