Having both just issued a career-spanning box set release and teased a new record, prog-metal mainstays Meshuggah have now announced they'll be taking their ever-extending songbook on a North American tour. Better yet, the fall trek has them hitting the stage with equally prolific American metal crew High on Fire.
While the trip concentrates on the U.S. market and dips into Mexico, there are two Canadian concerts dates for up-north fans to look forward to. Shows on this side of the U.S./Canada border are set to take place in October at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre and Montreal's Metropolis.
Details on the full itinerary can be found below.
As previously reported, Meshuggah's massive 25 Years of Musical Deviance box set arrived at the beginning of the month and compiled all of the band's albums and EPs to date onto 17 platters. You can find out more about the limited-edition box over here.
Earlier in the year, the group unveiled a promo video announcing an as-yet-detailed new studio album. The clip presented a bit of new music while photos of the act recording in the studio were flashed across the screen. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, the record is expected to launch sometime this fall.
As for Matt Pike and the rest of High on Fire, the band continue to tour behind last year's Luminiferous.
