Post-punk act Merchandise are set to explore new sonic territory on their forthcoming After the End LP. Today, we get another taste of their new sound with the song "Green Lady."
The track, built on giant drums, effects-laden guitars and frontman Carson Cox's romantic croon, sees the band sounding a hell of a lot like a radio pop band from the late '80s/early '90s. There's no denying they've gone in a new direction, but you'll have to decide whether or not you're on board.
Listen to "Green Lady" below.
After the End will arrive on August 26 via 4AD. The band also have a hefty fall tour in the works. The dates can be viewed here.
