The Melvins

"Dr. Mule"

After serving up their The Bulls and the Bees freelease with Scion A/V last year, noise rock legends the Melvins are once again teaming up with the car makers to deliver the downloadable cut "Dr. Mule."

The song is part of an ongoing series of freebies to celebrate 10 years of Scion and features the kinds of thudding drums, muck-raking sludge metal licks and eerily theatrical singing from King Buzzo you'd expect out of the band, not that there's anything wrong with that. Upping the weirdness, though, is an oddball keyboard solo that sounds something like a giant fly frantically humming into a kazoo.

You can check it all out in the player down below.

Scion's download series runs now until June 10 and will also feature tracks from Chromatics, Harry Fraud with Smoke DZA, and more.
