Matthew Goud, formally of hardcore band Means and the acoustic Emerson Letters, has announced his latest solo effort will be released under the moniker Northcote. Goud has been laying low since Means parted ways this time last year, but has recorded an EP entitled Borrowed Chords, Tired Eyes that will be released for purchase online and off-stage later next month via Toronto, ON-based independent label Black Box (the Wooden Sky, Shad and Ten Second Epic). Until then, you can hear the EP in its entirety on Northcote's MySpace.
With the EP announcement and label signing, Northcote looks to hit the road next month on an intimate West coast tour of Canada. Here are the tour dates:
