The Cosmic Range bandleader Matthew "Doc" Dunn has long been one of Toronto's most quietly prolific musicians. This year, he's released four records, culminating in blissed-out country rocker Rain, Rain, Rain, released via Cosmic Range Records. Dunn has now shared a new video for Rain, Rain, Rain track "On Our Way."

The video clip was directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick and features Toronto musician Scarlett Rose enjoying peace and quiet in a quaint wooden cabin and the great outdoors. It pairs nicely with Dunn's wistful, twanging track, featuring lyrics like "Now the blues and the darkness are our only friend."

In a statement, Petrick said that the video was "inspired by cinema's great Agnes Varda. The film explores the peace that comes with independence and solace. Scarlett finds harmony in the simple pleasures of nature — and gains comfort in solitude."

The clip was filmed in Ontario, "in the hills of Bailieboro and the majestic Prince Edward County," and serves as a sequel to the video for Rain, Rain, Rain track "Chance," also directed by Petrick and starring Rose.

In Dunn's 2020 discography, Rain, Rain, Rain follows ambient records Dance Works I: SWIM and Dance Works II: NO SAFE PLACE and the self-titled album by Stonegrass, his psych project with drummer Jay Anderson.
