With Black City, long-running electro mastermind and entrepreneur Matthew Dear has arguably released one of the year's best albums, electronic or otherwise. The record dropped last month, and we recently ran a Conversation piece to uncover the fictional metropolis Dear created for the record.
Around the time of the album's release, Dear had just wrapped up a DJ tour. As he told us in the interview, this October he'll embark on some shows with a full band. "I play with a drummer and a bass player and a trumpet player," he said of his live show. "So once that comes around that will be the official Black City album tour."
Come around it has, as Dear has announced the full tour dates for the Black City jaunt. Kicking off in Chicago on October 14, the run of shows will include Canadian stops in Hamilton, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. After the North American leg, Dear will bring his band to Europe for some shows in December. All dates are available below.
