I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too

I Know You’re Married But I’ve Got Feelings Too Wow, Martha Wainwright’s got some fine legs. But sleek body structure aside, she also has the same innocent girl vocals and curly, bouncing attitude that make an album like I Know You’re Married But I’ve Got Feelings Too all the more enjoyable. The opener, "Bleeding All Over You,” is frisky yet sassy, delving into the oh-so-popular topic of adultery: "You’ve got a girlfriend and I can only chuckle about her for so very long/And my mind turns into my heart and whispers into that dark cave that I’ve been wronged/My heart was made for bleeding all over you.” Cheating, relationships and love form the basis of the record (as heard on the incredibly catchy "Cheated Me,” "Comin’ Tonight” and "Love Is A Stranger,” respectively) but Wainwright doesn’t let it fall into a sappy, drippy pool of tears. Instead, she’s got fire in her eyes and daggers on her tongue that turn into a collection of feminine folk pop tunes that are just as delicious as her legs.
