Apparently there was a "Snowmageddon" in London, ON in 2010, and during this time, two musicians (Jane Carmichael and Kevin Kennedy) posted a few "Snow Day Songs" on YouTube that garnered attention from the likes of the CBC and other media. Fast forward to 2011, when the duo released a concept album, under the apt moniker the Marrieds. Yes, an entire album about love and marriage. A few of the tracks, such as "Find Your Way" and "The Big 5-0," are cute enough, while Jane Carmichael has a sweet enough voice (when it isn't ingratiating). But the listener absolutely has to be in the right headspace to appropriately appreciate this album. Recent dumpees need not apply. (Independent)
