Marilyn Manson has popped back into momentary relevance after releasing a new track today, his take on the traditional American folk song "God's Gonna Cut You Down."
His dark version of the song — previously sung by Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley — comes alongside a new black-and-white video. Shot in Joshua Tree, Manson teamed up with director Tim Mattia for a super creepy, signature Manson visual affair including obligatory grave digging, Jesus cosplay, bloody violence and crucifixes. You know, the usual.
The track is available for purchase on a special edition picture disc, featuring an original watercolour illustration by Manson. Find that here.
