It's a good thing M for Montreal spent Saturday night at the outsized Metropolis because Malajube showed up with "the boys are back in town" swagger, doing their utmost to blow the roof off the joint. While it's always interesting to see a great, well-respected band play their hometown, it was somehow that much more heartening to watch Malajube face an adoring public with their punk-infused pop songs and have all their energy come right back at 'em. By the time they launched into "Montréal -40°C (rhume de sinus)," the appreciative room seemed set to explode.
