Earlier this year, Major Lazer teamed up with PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj for the ridiculously sleek "Run Up." With names that big, it should come as no surprise that the single has been given the video treatment.
The clip was directed by Paul, Luc and Martin, and is a tribute to our cultural obsession with smartphones. "The idea was to laugh at ourselves and at the unconditional love we bear to our smartphones," the directors said. "Humour and absurdity came naturally in our speech because our will was not to accuse someone or something but just exaggerate it to foster reflection."
As an example of what to expect, the video sees Nicki Minaj deliver her entire verse as a Facetime phone call on her iPhone.
