Celtic-flavoured Canadian punks the Mahones have already been giving us the goods for over 20 years now, and the outfit have now announced there are not one but two new LPs to look forward to in the future.
First up will be the band's A Great Night on the Lash: Live In Italy concert album, which arrives February 11 through the group's own Whiskey Devil Records (distributed by eOne Music Canada). According to a press release, the record features an 18-song set captured last July at Bolzano, Italy's Arena Ritten during the Rock im Ring 20th Anniversary Festival.
Despite recording most of the record in Italy, an additional three live cuts captured at Belfast, Ireland's Doghouse venue cap the collection, which features originals and covers of tracks like the Undertones' "Teenage Kicks." The Belfast recordings also include performances from the Defects.

The Mahones have also reported on their website that they'll be hitting a recording studio in 2014 to track a double LP titled The Hunger & The Fight, which will also arrive at some point via Whiskey Devil Records. To help pay for recording and production costs, the band are currently selling pre-orders, as well as signed posters, a VIP T-shirt, thank-you notes, guitar picks and other ephemera.
