Thrash metalers Machine Head have been forced to cancel tomorrow night's (September 7) performance at the House of Blues club in Anaheim, CA. And it's all thanks to Disney!
Presented by Live Nation, the mighty powers that be at Walt Disney Properties pressured the mega promoter to call off the show, "citing violent imagery, undesirable fans and inflammatory lyrics as the reason." This coming from the company that produced movies such as Primeval and Wild Hogs. Talk about undesirable!
Machine Head were actually placed under an internal "review process," and only learned of the gig's cancellation just yesterday, less than 48 hours before kicking off their Black Tyranny Tour.
In addition, Disney has now influenced Live Nation to cancel all upcoming heavy metal concerts at the famous venue.
The concert is still scheduled to happen at another venue, the Glass House in Pomona, CA, and Live Nation will honour all tickets at the new location, and will also refund those who wish not to make the 70-mile trip.
