If there's one collaboration that can divert our attention away from that bizarre Jack White/Insane Clown Posse single, it's Lulu, the forthcoming album from Metallica and Lou Reed. The LP isn't due out for another two months, but we've already been told that it "may be the best thing done by anyone, ever" and that it made Metallica cry with its awesomely poetic lyrics. Now, we've got the album cover to help tide us over until the November 1 release date.
That's it above. With its limbless mannequin bust and Load-style use of bodily fluids, this is one creepy image. If anything could make us even more intrigued by -- and wary of -- the weird and ultra-hyped collaboration, it's this.
As we already learned, the album is based on songs Reed wrote for a staging of Frank Wedekind's Lulu plays. And as the Velvet Underground legend previously promised, the music is "awe-inspiring."
Stay tuned to to the project's website for song titles to be announced soon.
