Little Scream recently revealed plans for her sophomore record Cult Following, and now she's shared another new track from the upcoming album.
"Someone Will Notice" follows "Love As a Weapon," but explores much darker thematic territory than the previous single. A press release explains that the song was inspired by the suicide of a teenage girl in small-town Canada — a result of an increasingly ruthless internet culture.
The emotional, lushly layered track was arranged and performed with help from Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry on guitar and synths, and his bandmate Jeremy Gara on drums.
Listen to the dramatic, impactful track in the player below. Cult Following arrives in full on May 6 through Dine Alone/Merge.
