The Liptonians Team Up with Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra for Canada Day Performance

Winnipeg indie pop experimenters the Liptonians already caught our attention with the release of their album Let's All March Back Into the Sea earlier this year, and now they're pushing themselves further by announcing a one-off collaboration with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

The Liptonians will team up with the orchestra for a special Canada Day performance on July 1 at the Forks in Winnipeg. As a press release explains, "The band's music has been arranged to be backed by the WSO by Toronto's Charles Cozens, and will excitedly dart and dash around the musical staves as fireworks go off overhead."

In anticipation for the event, the Liptonians have shot their own viral video, which suggests that they really need the symphony to maintain their tightness as a band. Check it out below.
