Lil Xan Enters Rehab for Opioid Addiction

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 3, 2018

Lil Xan (real name Diego Leanos) has checked himself into a rehab facility to treat an opioid addiction.

The 22-year-old SoundCloud rapper's girlfriend, Annie, announced the news via a post on Leanos' Instagram page.

"Diego was just admitted into his first treatment," she wrote. "He loves each and every one of you sending good wishes and prayers to him. We thank you all so very much for all of the love and support you are sending his way."

She added, "He will be back soon, with another top 10 album."

Back in November, Leanos revealed his intentions to enter rehab, but according to TMZ, it was delayed due to other patients' extended stays.

Lil Xan appeared on TMZ Live following the death of Mac Miller.

"It hit too close to home," Leanos said. "I know we both struggle with the same problems and stuff, and I just feel like it's time to get better."

Leanos specified that he was struggling with an addiction to hydrocodone.

Addressing his stage name (a reference to Xanax), the rapper also told TMZ that it's his goal to emerge from rehab with just the name "DIEGO."
