After a similar situation happened to his friend Rick Ross last year, rap champ Lil Wayne had a medical scare yesterday (October 25) when he suffered "seizure-like symptoms" on a flight.

As TMZ reports, Weezy's plane had to make an emergency landing in Texas. From there, he was hospitalized for a few hours, eventually getting released at 6 p.m. local time.

While details remain scarce as to Wayne's exact condition, or even his current location, sources close to the rapper have confirmed that he's "doing better."

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Despite earlier reports, Lil Wayne did not apparently have a seizure. A statement from his management reads: "Lil Wayne was successfully released from the hospital after being treated for a severe migraine and dehydration. He is at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love."

UPDATE 2: Strangely enough, TMZ now reports Lil Wayne suffered a second seizure in under 24 hours while leaving Texas for Los Angeles, forcing the plane to once again make an emergency landing. This time it was diverted to Louisiana, where Wayne went to hospital for more treatment. However, the rapper's rep still insists it was due to dehydration and migraines.
