Though the wait for Lil B's forthcoming Black Ken mixtape has been long and arduous, it's important to remember that the Based God works in mysterious ways. Today (May 9), the Bay Area rapper handed down the news that the forthcoming effort is finished.

Taking to Twitter, Lil B revealed the following to his followers: Speaking to XXL, he added, "Right now this is the most proud of any project that I have done. I produced all 27 songs on there and every one is classic. You won't need to skip any songs on this tape! This is hip-hop at its purest form. Be ready for the new sound of music produced by 'The BasedGod.'"

Further details of the tape are scarce, though listeners may remember him delivering the Metro Boomin-produced "My House" back in December of last year.

Lil B's last mixtape was Thugged Out Pissed Off, which arrived in December 2015.

When it comes to a release date for Black Ken, Lil B told XXL that "surprise right now," but there's a chance "it can come out between now and August. Be ready for new Lil B music leaks!!! And videos."
